Getting Started

This guide will walk you through setting up your first Buy Bot, from initial setup to receiving your first notification. The entire process takes just a few minutes!

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

✅ Admin rights in the Telegram group where you want notifications

✅ Token contract address for the token you want to monitor

✅ Liquidity on at least one supported DEX (paired with MON/WMON)

⚠️ Important: Anonymous Admin Mode

If you have "Remain Anonymous" enabled in your group's admin settings, you'll need to temporarily disable it during bot setup. The bot needs to identify you as the creator. You can re-enable it after setup is complete.

Quick Start Guide

Step 1: Start Private Chat with Bot

  1. Open Telegram and search for @MobotsBuyBot (use your actual bot username)
  2. Click "Start" or send /start
  3. You'll see the welcome screen with an overview of features

The welcome screen will show you:

  • 🤖 My Buy Bots - Your bot management dashboard
  • 💬 Join Community - Link to MoBots support

Step 2: Add Bot to Your Group

  1. Go to your Telegram group
  2. Click the group name → "Add Members"
  3. Search for @MobotsBuyBot and add it
  4. Open group settings → "Administrators"
  5. Click "Add Admin" and select the bot
  6. Grant the bot permission to "Post Messages"

💡 Tip: The bot only needs permission to post messages. No other admin permissions are required.

Step 3: Configure Your Bot

  1. Return to your private chat with the bot
  2. Click "🤖 My Buy Bots"
  3. Select your group from the list
  4. Click "➕ Create Buy Bot" or "🔄 Change Token/Pool"
  5. Enter your token's contract address
  6. Wait while the bot searches for liquidity pools

Example token address format:

0x1234567890abcdef1234567890abcdef12345678

The bot will automatically:

  • ✅ Query all supported DEX factory contracts
  • ✅ Search for token/MON liquidity pairs
  • ✅ Display all available pools
  • ✅ Show pool addresses and DEX names

Step 4: Select Pools to Monitor

After the bot finds your pools, you'll see options like:

Option 1: Monitor All Pools (Recommended)

Click "🌐 Monitor All Pools" to track buys across every available DEX. This ensures you never miss a purchase, regardless of where it happens.

Best for:

  • ✅ Comprehensive tracking
  • ✅ Multiple DEX presence
  • ✅ Maximum visibility
  • ✅ Set-it-and-forget-it simplicity

Option 2: Monitor Specific Pools

Click individual pool buttons to select specific DEXes. You can select as many as you want.

Best for:

  • ✅ Focusing on primary DEX
  • ✅ Testing before full rollout
  • ✅ Specific DEX promotion
  • ✅ Targeted tracking

Step 5: Customize (Optional)

Now that your bot is monitoring, you can customize its appearance and behavior:

🖼️ Upload Custom Image

Make notifications look professional with your token logo or project branding.

How to:

  1. Click "🖼️ Change Image"
  2. Upload image directly OR send image URL
  3. Image appears in all future notifications

Best practices:

  • Use square images (1:1 ratio)
  • Recommended: 1000x1000 pixels
  • Keep under 5MB
  • PNG or JPG format

💰 Set Minimum Amount

Filter out small buys to reduce notification spam.

How to:

  1. Click "💰 Set Minimum Amount"
  2. Enter minimum token amount
  3. Only buys ≥ this amount will notify

Examples:

  • Set to 1 for every buy
  • Set to 100 for larger trades only
  • Set to 0 for all activity

🔗 Add Social Links

Display your project's social media in every notification.

How to:

  1. Click "🔗 Social Links"
  2. Select platform:
    • 💬 Discord
    • 📱 Telegram
    • 🐦 Twitter
    • 🌐 Website
  3. Send the link
  4. Repeat for other platforms

Step 6: Start Receiving Notifications!

Verification & Testing

How to Verify Your Bot is Working

  1. Check Bot Status

    • Go to "🤖 My Buy Bots"
    • Select your group
    • Look for "Active 🟢" status

  2. Make a Test Buy

    • Buy a small amount of your token
    • Wait a few seconds for block confirmation
    • Notification should appear in your group

  3. Check Group Permissions

    • Verify bot is an admin
    • Verify bot can post messages
    • Look for bot in "Administrators" list

Common First-Time Issues

❌ "No pools found for this token"

Cause: Token doesn't have liquidity or isn't paired with MON

Solution:

  • Verify token address is correct
  • Check if liquidity exists on Dexscreener (opens in a new tab)
  • Ensure token is paired with MON/WMON
  • Try again after adding liquidity

❌ "Bot not sending notifications"

Cause: Bot isn't admin or is deactivated

Solution:

  • Make bot an admin in your group
  • Check bot status shows "Active 🟢"
  • Lower minimum amount to test
  • Verify you added bot to correct group

❌ "Can't find my group in bot list"

Cause: Bot cache needs refresh or you're not admin

Solution:

  • Click "🔄 Refresh List"
  • Ensure you're an admin in the group
  • Re-add bot to group if needed
  • Check "Remain Anonymous" is disabled
