π View TransactionUnderstanding Approvals
When you sell a token for the first time, you need to approve the router to spend it. This is a standard blockchain security measure.
What happens:
- First sell - Bot automatically handles approval + sell (2 transactions)
- Future sells - No approval needed, just sell (1 transaction)
Why it's needed:
- π Security - Router can't touch your tokens without permission
- β One-time setup - Only needed once per token
- π€ Automatic - Bot handles everything
π‘ Note: Approval transactions also cost gas. Your first sell of a token will have 2 gas fees (approve + sell), but all future sells only pay 1 gas fee.
Sell Tips & Strategies
π Take Profits Gradually
Use percentages to sell portions:
- Sell 25% when 2x profit
- Sell 50% when 5x profit
- Keep 25% for moon shots

Strategy 1: Scaling In
Goal: Build position gradually to average entry price
1. Buy 0.001 ETH worth (initial test)
2. If price stable, buy 0.01 ETH worth
3. If still good, buy 0.1 ETH worth
4. Scale your position based on performanceStrategy 2: Profit Taking Ladder
Goal: Lock in profits while keeping upside potential
Entry: Buy 0.1 ETH worth
2x: Sell 25% (recover 0.05 ETH)
5x: Sell 50% (recover 0.25 ETH)
10x: Sell 25% (take profit)
Keep remaining 25% for potential 100xStrategy 3: Quick Flip
Goal: Fast in and out for quick profits
1. Buy with 0.01-0.1 ETH
2. Set target (e.g., 2x)
3. When target hit, sell 100%
4. Move to next opportunityβ‘ Trading Workflow Examples
Example 1: New Token Launch

Now worth: ~0.05 ETH
Step 1: Check Balance
You: /balance
Bot: Shows your holdings
Step 2: Sell Half
You: /sell
You: [token address]
You: 50%

Received 0.025 ETH
Result: You've recovered 2.5x initial investment
Still holding: 500 CHOG for more upsideExample 3: Emergency Exit
Scenario: Bad news, need to exit fast
You: /sell
You: [token address]
You: 100%
Bot: β³ Selling all 1000 CHOG...
Bot: β
Received 0.008 ETH
Result: Quick exit with minimal typingπ Understanding Gas Fees
What Are Gas Fees?
Gas fees are small amounts of ETH paid to execute transactions on the blockchain.
Typical costs on Monad testnet:
- π° Buy: ~0.0003 ETH
- πΈ Sell: ~0.0003 ETH (after initial approval)
- β Approve: ~0.0002 ETH (one-time per token)
- π€ Transfer: ~0.00021 ETH
How Mobots Handles Gas
Automatic & Optimal:
- π€ Fetches current gas prices from network
- π Calculates optimal fee
- β‘ Ensures fast confirmation
- π° No overpaying
Benefits:
- β No manual gas settings
- β Always pays the right amount
- β Future-proof (adapts to network)
- β Fast confirmations (1 second)
π― Trading Best Practices
β Do's
- β Verify token addresses before buying
- β Start with small amounts to test liquidity
- β Use percentages for gradual profit-taking
- β Check balance before large trades
- β Save transaction links for your records
- β Set profit targets before entering trades
β Don'ts
- β Don't buy unknown tokens without research
- β Don't spend all your ETH (keep some for gas)
- β Don't panic sell on small dips
- β Don't ignore gas fees in profit calculations
- β Don't trade without backup of your private key
π Tracking Your Trades
View Transaction Details
Every trade includes a link to the Monad testnet explorer:
π View Transaction
β https://testnet.monadexplorer.com/tx/0x...What you can see:
- β Transaction status (success/pending/failed)
- π° ETH and tokens transferred
- β½ Gas fees paid
- β° Timestamp
- π Block number
Monitor Your Balance
Use /balance frequently to:
- π° Check ETH available for trading
- π Track your portfolio
- β Verify trades completed
- π― Plan next moves
π¨ Troubleshooting
"Insufficient Balance"
Problem: Not enough ETH to complete trade
Solutions:
- Check balance:
/balance - Get more testnet ETH from faucet
- Try smaller amount
- Keep ETH for gas fees
"Transaction Failed"
Possible causes:
- β½ Gas price changed (network congestion)
- π° Insufficient liquidity in pool
- π Price slippage too high
- β° Transaction took too long
What to do:
- Try again (gas prices adjust automatically)
- Use smaller amount
- Check token has liquidity
- Verify token address is correct
"Approval Needed"
This is normal! First time selling a token requires approval.
What happens:
- Bot requests approval
- You confirm
- Bot executes approval
- Bot executes sell
- Future sells don't need approval
